John Vela, Designer - Staff Bios
Born and raised in Houston, John now lives happily in the Cypress area. He has extensive training in photo shoots and make-up with over 7 years of hair artistry. He has advanced certification in So.Cap USA Hair Extensions and is internationally published in a number of magazines for hair color, extensions, updos, and make-up. Prior to joining the Up In Tangles Team in 2011, John worked as a make-up artist with MAC Cosmetics for 3 years. At the age of 19, he styled celebrities hair for the All Star Event, Essence Festival, and Rip the Runway Fashion Tour broadcasted on BET. John specializes in all forms of hair weaving, fusion, micro links and glue-in extensions, especially for hair restoration purposes. From extensive training and experience, he also specializes in bridal and photo shoot ready looks.
John is personable and fun and is confident that he can tackle any hair problem that comes his way. :)
